In this form, the elected Mayor serves as the City’s chief administrative officer, and an elected seven member. Seeing how the route went through the southside of the Yakima River, the city of Cle Elum and the Northern Pacific tracks were on the opposite side of the Milwaukee Road. From this division, the foundation for a new city was established and South Cle Elum was born. The Cle Elum Municipal Code is current through Ordinance 1692, passed January 6, 2025.
